Seattle U. Swim Coach Resigns

Seattle University head swimming coach Craig Mallery, the only head coach in the 14-year history of the swimming program, has decided to step down from his head coach responsibilities at SU.

Mallery has built the Seattle University swim program from scratch, first rising in the ranks of NAIA competition before becoming a top squad in Division II circles. The men's swim team won the 2002 NAIA Championship and finished eighth in the 2008 NCAA Division II Championships, while the women's squad finished second in the NAIA in 2002 and qualified at least one swimmer to the NCAA Division II Championships in the last five years at that level.
