Col. Sam Johnson Named Interim AD at Army
Col. Johnson has been the athletic department's chief of staff since September 2008. He follows Kevin Anderson and will assume day-to-day leadership of the Army program upon Anderson's departure for the University of Maryland AD position at the end of September.
According to a release from the Academy, the institution is assembling a national search committee to conduct a thorough and comprehensive review for the best-qualified candidates for this key position in Army athletics.
"I want to thank Kevin and his family for all he has done for West Point and our cadet-athletes. He has advanced our program greatly in all facets, while serving as an exceptional role model for our young men and women," said Lt. Gen. David H.
