Michigan Prepares Self Imposed Sanctions
Michigan AD David Brandon indicated that Michigan will be suggesting self imposed sanctions for violations committed by the football program. The sanctions are expected to be revealed next week following Michigan's submission of its response to the NCAA's notice of allegations.
U-M had 90 days to formulate its response, which will go to the NCAA's Committee on Infractions. The school will appear before the committee Aug. 13-14 in Seattle. The NCAA has recommended that U-M bring nearly a dozen officials to its hearing, including university president Mary Sue Coleman, Brandon and head football coach Rich Rodriguez.
