BCS Executive Director Responds to Congress
Bowl Championship Series executive director Bill Hancock has sent a letter to Congress regarding concerns about the need for a college football playoff..
Because college football developed as numerous conferences rather than as a single unifiedleague and has had a successful broad-based bowl system, the presidents of the universities alongwith the conferences and the bowls chose to create what is now called the BCS to match the toptwo teams in the post-season national championship game.
