The Revenue Battle: TV vs. Tickets
David Climer of the Tennessean comments on the possible adverse impact of increased television exposure and revenue from conference TV deals on ticket sales and related donations.
"Could it be that high-def broadcasts equal a slow death to season-ticket sales? I hope some SEC bean counter did the math on all this before the league signed off on the TV deal.
