Training Facilities Can Be Costly
Changes to the new athletics training facility at the University of Tennessee suggested by the new coach will add an estimated $9,000,000 to the original $39,000,000 projected cost according to Megan Boehnke of Knoxnews.com.
Derek Dooley reviewed the plans for the McKenzie Lawson Athletic Center Addition, originally estimated at $39 million, soon after arriving in January. He requested adjustments to the location, size and shape of the 22,000-square-foot weight room, according to Bill Myers, chief financial officer for the UT athletics department.
