Oregon State Lowers Football Prices and Sets Sales Record
In a nod to the economy Oregon State slashed football ticket prices from $252 to $149 in its Valley View section while eliminating the $100 fundraising donation as well. Ticket buying surged pushing the Beavers over 26,000 season tickets sold for the first time.
The rollbacks -- which included lowered donation levels in other sections -- departed from the premium pricing strategy Oregon State had used since the 2005 opening of the dramatically rebuilt east side. But challenging times prompted creative thinking. To read more, click here.
