Fiesta Bowl Under Investigation By Arizona Attorney General
The Fiesta Bowl has come under criticism for allegedly reimbursing employees for making contributions to favored politicians. The Arizona Secretary of State requested the probe in a letter to Attorney General Terry Goddard, stating that "reimbursement for political contributions, whether engaged in by the organization's agents and/or employees, would be in violation" of state law.
Fiesta Bowl officials have consistently denied that contributions were coordinated or reimbursed. They hired former Attorney General Grant Woods to examine the claims. The Fiesta Bowl reported that Grant Woods turned up "no credible evidence that the bowl's management engaged in any type of illegal or unethical" activity. To read more, click here.
