Agents and Athletes: Are There Any Answers?

Jeremy Fowler of the Orlando Sentinel reviews the historical and current issues caused by money, agents and self interest in light of the recent focus on agents triggered by NCAA investigations at member schools.

Five major college programs have recently attracted NCAA scrutiny because of players' alleged run-ins with agents.  "It  hasn't changed, just more money," Nattiel said. "(Players) know something about that is wrong, but at the same time…that's hard to walk away from money when you've never had it."  There seem to be no easy fixes with player-agent relationships as schools scramble to evade the NCAA's radar.
