In order to bring the school back into compliance, the Gender Equity Committee has been developing a report to add another women's sport. Among the many sports, the committee has narrowed it down to three potential choices: crew, lacrosse and beach volleyball.

Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn informed staffers during a Tuesday meeting the department will be adding women's lacrosse as its 17th intercollegiate sports program and a national search is commencing for the program's first coach, a source told the Boulder Daily Camera.

Student attendance at men’s basketball games has fallen consistently over the last five years, even dropping after Duke won its fourth national championship in 2010. This season, approximately 650 undergraduates have attended each game, 150 fewer than during the 2008-09 season.

Steve Fisher has done an outstanding job in not only building a strong basketball program, but in helping build a strong student fan base. San Diego State doesn’t have the history of great crowds like UNLV or New Mexico, but it has quickly gained an imposing home-court edge. Sellout crowds are now the norm for the Aztecs. San Diego State has won 42 of its past 45 home games.
