UW-Madison is beginning to build an "Athletic Village," a $76.8 million hub around Camp Randall stadium where student athletes can study and train together. The project involves adding a new, three-story academic and strength training center onto the north end of Camp Randall Stadium and renovating locker rooms for university sports teams.

The University of Colorado will add two new digital video boards to the north and south ends of Folsom Field in time for the 2012 season if the Board of Regents approves the $7 million project at its Wednesday meeting, the Boulder Daily Camera reported.

Former Maryland Coach Lefty Driesell has been very critical of the decision to name the court after Gary Williams. Dreisell said: "I'm not knocking Gary. He won the national championship. But I don't think anyone's name should be on the court." Curiously, Georgia State's floor is named after a coach named Lefty Driesell.
