University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler has named a 21-member search advisory committee to help choose the school's next athletic director and also named Parker Executive Search to lead the hunt for a new athletic director. This committee will report to another committee made up of four individuals that will help screen the semifinalists. A larger search committee would have been formed, but there was not a big enough conference room on campus.

Washington College Coach Rob Nugent asked Gettysburg to reinsert senior guard Cory Weissman at the end of a Washington loss so they could foul him and give him an opportunity to score. Weissman hit the second of his two foul shots. He had suffered a stroke after his freshman year and worked diligently on his physical recovery over the years. The crowd erupted when he made the foul shot.

Kentucky Votes to Dissolve Athletic Association

Once the Athletics Association Board of Directors officially dissolves on June 30, the duty of overseeing UK athletics will pass to a new panel made up of five members of the school's Board of Trustees and as many as three non-voting "community advisory" people.
