Governor Approves UNCC Football Stadium
North Carolina Governor Beverley Perdue signed a capital project bill authorizing UNCC to borrow $40 million to build a football stadium and field house so that the school can be playing football in 2013..
UNCC's board approved a plan in December for the university to start a football program, calling for the university to borrow $40.5million to build a permanent stadium and field house. That couldn't happen, however, without the approval of the N.C. General Assembly and Perdue. To read more, click here.
