Coach Departs St. Michael's Swimming & Diving
Colchester, VT - After 12 years on deck, Jim Donoghue is stepping down as coach of the St. Michael’s College swimming and diving program, the school announced Friday.
Donoghue guided SMC’s men’s and women’s teams for the last 12 seasons and also directed the Purple Knights men’s program from 1984-87. His athletes have broken 33 individual school records and all 10 relay marks during his most recent tenure.
Both St. Michael’s teams placed fifth in the Northeast-10 championships last winter and the women added a third-place showing at New Englands.
St. Michael’s said in a news release that it will begin a search for Donoghue’s replacement immediately. To read more, click here.
