Assistant GM of Ticket Sales for Purdue University Athletics
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for achieving ticket sales & renewal goals annually.
• Make cold calls to area companies and organizations to set up appointments to sell season tickets, mini‐plans, and groups.
• Effectively manage various group assets / experiences in order to maximize group ticket sales at all home games.
• Effectively prospect and execute programs to sell blocks of season tickets.
• Develop and maintain a personal client base of ticket sales prospects and customers.
• Grow internet marketing list
• Service customers at all events.
• Attend trade shows and outside presentations.
• Answer incoming calls during current promotions (TV, radio, news).
• Sell other special projects when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by GM.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration or business field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in ticket sales with collegiate and/or professional sports team.
• Superior communication skills, collaborative with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record in ticket sales
• Must be enthusiastic, creative and able to think both strategically and tactically.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high paced environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working with Paciolan and Ticketmaster.
• Experience working with CRM systems such as ACT, Goldmine, Salesforce.com, Microsoft CRM, etc.
• Willingness and ability to work long hours, including holidays and weekends as required.
